Steve is an active trumpet player, composer, and teacher in the Chicago-land area. He performs with a number of different groups, playing everything from small group jazz, Broadway shows, and big band. He has recorded with several Chicago based big bands as well as with his own small group. He has won a number of awards including "Downbeat" soloist awards and being an International Trumpet Guild improvisation finalist. Steve runs the jazz band and jazz combos at Wheeling H.S. in Chicago and writes the marching band show each year. Also a director of bands at Jack London Middle School in Wheeling, IL.
