You may attend Jamey's 2-day "Anyone Can Improvise!" Seminar AND the Week-Long
Workshop at the University of Louisville consecutively. Get Jamey's classroom presentations followed immediately by a
week of intensive, hands-on instruction with our All-Star faculty! We always reserve the right to refuse registrations
as space and instrumentation limitations require.
"Anyone Can Improvise!" Seminar - 10am Saturday, June 28th thru 3pm Sunday, June 29th
followed immediately by
Week-Long Workshop - 4pm Sunday, June 29th thru 6pm Friday, July 4th
This is the perfect opportunity for you to get the most out of your summer jazz experience! You begin by taking
Jamey's 2-day "Anyone Can Improvise!" seminar. This relaxed program, in a classroom (lecture) format,
with Jamey as the only teacher, is a great way to get started correctly on the road to being a better jazz
improvisor. Jamey's informative and entertaining presentations will get you excited about the possibilities and
inspire you to be creative. Plus, you can ask any question you want about jazz improv and get the answer from Jamey
himself! The 2-day seminar goes all day Saturday (from 10am until about 9pm), and then picks up again on Sunday
morning from 9am until about 3:00pm. THEN, when the 2-day seminar is through, you simply walk upstairs and get set
up for the Week-long Workshop! Nothing could be easier!
These two programs are separate, and you may attend either one and benefit greatly without attending both - but when
combined they make for a powerful 7 days of jazz instruction.
Because you are attending the 2-Day Workshop Primer as well as the Week-long workshop, you need
to arrive on the University of Louisville campus no later than 9:30am on Saturday. The 2-Day Workshop
Primer begins at 10am on Saturday morning. You may arrive one day early on Friday night, but you need to arrive by
9pm. If you need a dorm room for Friday and/or Saturday, there is an additional charge per night, and you need to
include a note with your application letting us know exactly what night(s) you need the room.
Maps, as well as information about motels/accommodations and what to expect, will be sent upon
receipt of application with a non-refundable deposit. You may NOT apply via phone, FAX, or e-mail.
ALL applications must be recived online or via snail-mail accompanied by a check or money order. The deadline is JUNE
1st, but we WILL fill up (especially rhythm section instruments) - so APPLY EARLY!
