DRIVING INSTRUCTIONS
Please refer to ARRIVAL & DEPARTURE for important information regarding your travel to the workshops.
Directions to the University of Louisville School of Music
The U of L campus is located south of downtown Louisville. Due to one-way streets, directions depend upon which way you are coming to the campus.
From I-64 or I-71, take I-65 South; take the Arthur Street exit to Brandeis Avenue; turn right onto Brandeis; continue two and a half
blocks (Brandeis becomes Cardinal Boulevard) and turn left into the North Entrance (just past the light at Brook Street). As you are entering campus,
the School of Music will be to your right.
From I-65 North, follow signs toward downtown Louisville. Take the SECOND Eastern Parkway exit (follow Speed Museum signs), bear right
onto Crittendon Drive. Turn right at the light onto Eastern Parkway. Continue until you come to 3rd Street. Turn right at the light onto 3rd Street.
Continue past Speed Art Museum (on right). 3rd Street will become 2nd Street at this point. Turn right at the second light onto Cardinal Boulevard. Go
one half of a block and turn right into the North Entrance. The School of Music will be on your right.
Parking
You will need a parking permit to park your car on campus. The cost for this permit in 2009 was $16.00. It could higher this year so come prepared with
either cash or check. Sorry, credit cards can not be accepted for parking permits. This is an unfortunate additional cost for the workshop that is charged
by the University and we do not profit from the sale of parking permits.
Permits should be purchased anytime during registration in the lobby of the School of Music on Sunday when you arrive. Parking Permits are not required
until Monday morning which means if you are attending Jamey's 2-Day Seminar ONLY, you will not need to purchase a parking permit.
The parking situation is VERY strict and you WILL get a ticket or possibly be towed if you do not have a parking permit!
University of Louisvlle Parking Permits allow you to park in any of the YELLOW lots.

DRIVERS UNDER 17
If you have someone who is under 17 and will be driving, PLEASE encourage them to call home during their travel. We have had situations in the past where
a person was supposed to arrive at a certain time and they did NOT arrive!!
In every case, thus far, the person had car trouble, or was running late, or whatever, and we found them LATER. In this case, if the person has NOT called
home to informed you that he/she is having trouble and will be coming later, YOU the PARENT get a message from us saying your child is MISSING.
This is not a pleasant situation for either party, and it is a situation we would like to avoid. So, if they do have trouble and will be coming in AFTER
4:30pm on Sunday, it is best that if we call home, you KNOW about it and can tell us when to expect them.
