INSTRUMENTS AND EQUIPMENT

Everyone ...

... needs to bring his/her instrument excluding pianists ... duh! ... and you should bring pens, pencils, and notebook or manuscript paper. Audio recorders are welcome and encouraged in almost all classes and concerts - but NO videos except Friday's STUDENT combo concert(s).

Guitar and Bass ...

... need to bring an amp and extension cords. If you are flying, and your amp is too big, we can provide an amp for you. We need to know if you need an amp BEFORE June 1st. You still need to bring cables, cords, etc. Upright Bass Players should bring your own instrument and a pickup! If you have a problem with this, please call us and we'll see what we can work out.

Drummers ...

... need to bring your own drum set, even if you need to borrow cases from your school or from a friend. You'll be most comfortable playing your own set. If you are flying, we can provide a drum set for you (drums & hardware only, no cymbals!) If you prefer your own hardware, foot pedal, stool, or stands, we suggest you bring them. We must know your needs BEFORE June 1st. Please bring your own cymbals, sticks, brushes, etc. even if you're flying.

Vocalists, Flutes and String players ...

... generally will not need amplification during their group rehearsals. Any reason for amplification will be handled as needed at the workshop. Please bring your own microphone and cable. String players might want to have a small pickup with them. Microphones and amps will be provided for the final student concerts.

If you need an amp or drums, you must let us know BEFORE June 1st.
